What I’m up to Now
Last updated: January 4, 2025
I went to Rome
In December I went to Rome and met up with my parents. It was my first time visiting the motherland and I loved it. I loved the daily routine of espresso for breakfast, pasta for lunch, a Manhattan aperitivo, pasta for dinner, and then wine before bed. Can’t wait to get back there.
I’m an urban gardener
In November I planted a seed starter tray with 36 carrots, lettuce, and thyme (8 each). I enjoyed watching them grow so much that a I upgraded. Wiff bought me/us a bookshelf for Christmas. I added grow lights. Then I added bigger grow lights. I’m now growing 6 different kinds of lettuce, some mizuna and cress, as well as basil, lemon balm, and cilantro. It’s enough for Wiff and I to have a few salads a week.
I ghosted Instagram
I archived my posts and reels, and put up an Out of Office on my Instagram account. Not once have I thought “I should post something.” It’s freeing.
I did some commercials
I booked an internet project for Naadam, and national commercials for Goldbelly and H&R Block. H&R Block booked me for another project that took me to Pittsburgh where I got to work with the hilarious and hilariously talented Andy Kelemen.
I built a nightlight for my Pomeranian
Bailey’s mostly blind, which makes finding her water bowl a bit tricky in the middle of the night. The water bowl is right beside our bed, so when she clacks around looking for her bowl it wakes up Wiff. When she shines her iPhone flashlight at the bowl, Bails go straight in. It’s all well and good, except it’d be better if Wfif didn’t have to walk up in the first place. Enter The Nightlight.
